Hillcrest Mennonite Church in New Hamburg
A welcoming faith community rooted in worship, peace, and service.
Our mission
Gathered to grow, scattered to serve
We partner with God in laying a faith foundation, in experiencing God together in worship and prayer, in modeling our faith daily by our words and actions, in practicing hospitality and generosity, in nurturing each one’s gifts, and inviting others to join us. We strive to be good stewards of God’s creation, and to seek justice and peace in a needy world.

Our values

Faith formation
We value faith formation, being formed into God’s people through biblical engagement, spiritual disciplines, and intentional relationships.

Conversations
We value conversations, conversations that cross generational, economic, and cultural boundaries which bring about a real and meaningful sense of connectedness and impact how we live as followers of Jesus.

Hospitality
We value extending hospitality, welcoming, caring for and supporting each other and the community around us, aligning ourselves with God to make the world a better place, a little closer to the way God would have things.

Belonging
We value belonging, everyone deserves to have a place of love and belonging where they are known and accepted for who they are as a beloved child of God.

Meet our pastors
Kevin
Pastor at Hillcrest
Kevin has served as a pastor at Hillcrest since 2011. He finds the character and story of Jesus to be absolutely compelling and believes discipleship – following in the way of Jesus – is at the heart of the church and the Gospel. He is genuinely curious about almost everything and will happily have a conversation with you about whatever is on your mind. He is married and has two adult children.
Kathryn
Pastor at Hillcrest
Kathryn has served as a pastor at Hillcrest since 2022. She is passionate about exploring the “why” behind our life and faith and helping the congregation imagine new ways of being church together in a changing world. She is compassionate and attentive, and regularly takes time to listen deeply to people’s stories and walk alongside them in their journey of faith. She is married and has three children.
